Zoe Malkin, LCSW

Zoe Malkin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey (#44SC06067100) and New York (#092300-01). She received her Masters Degree in Social Work from New York University and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Peace Studies from Goucher College. She has worked within the New York City Health and Hospitals network in the Adult Outpatient Department as well as in private group psychotherapy practices working with adolescents and adults. Zoe concentrates on treating anxiety, depression, and trauma.

As a psychotherapist Zoe draws on an integrative approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Modality, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to guide clients toward a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings and experiences, while teaching them necessary coping skills. Within the safety of the therapeutic environment, she is committed to engaging in a collaborative, holistic therapy process in which clients can achieve balance, contentment and ultimately healing. They will cultivate coping strategies that foster insight and change, thereby creating emotional and physical well-being.

Areas of particular interest for Zoe include mindfulness, the mind-body connection, emotional regulation, compassion-based therapy, relationships, nutrition, and physical health. Zoe is an avid runner, yoga practitioner and certified Yoga instructor (RYT). She enjoys working with athletes to help optimize their mental performance. She has additional experience supervising therapists working toward their clinical social work licenses.
